SFML - Any good for beginner game library?

C++ (Non Visual C++ Issues) @ June 8, 2011   Views:0

Is SFML any good for a beginner? or is Allegro more simple? Is there something out there for graphics that is easier to install, and learn?

Making games by definition isn't simple, so the complexity of the low level stuff like creating and managing windows, etc, is probably the least of your worries.

SFML is written in C++ and has a native OO design which may be easier to work with.

Allegro may have C++ bindings, but I'm not certain.
